A graveside service for Harold Keith Billings, 86, will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland.
Keith Billings passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
Keith Billings was born on Friday, September 4, 1937, in Wheatland, the son of Harold and June (Whipple) Billings.
Keith lived on the family farm west of Wheatland, where they raised sheep. He attended Wheatland schools and graduated in 1957. He joined the Wyoming Army National Guard in March of 1956. Harold was active in 4-H and FFA in his youth. He was a long-time Wheatland Volunteer Fireman.
After graduating from high school, he worked around the Wheatland area until he started working full-time for the Wyoming Army National Guard. After he retired in June of 1977, he worked around Platte County to keep busy.
Keith and Bonnie met at the Methodist Church Youth Group and married on March 19, 1960. They were husband and wife for 64 years.
Keith was a fast pitch softball pitcher in his younger years. He enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, gardening, watching his kids and grandkids play ball, and was a 4-H club leader.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; children, Debbie (TC) Collier of Quartzsite, Arizona; Terry (Nancy) Billings of Greybull, Wyoming; Christi Grange of Wheatland; Becky (Pat) Souza of Wheatland; eleven grandkids; and twenty-two great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Billings; mother, June Billings; two infant brothers; and son-in-law, Ray Grange.
