WHEATLAND – Former Glendo town clerk Tristany Hoffman entered a not-guilty plea at an arraignment held in Eighth Judicial District Court last Thursday.
Hoffman is being charged with three separate alleged counts of felony theft between the months of May and July 2024. It is alleged she took unauthorized control of a property interest of the Town of Glendo with a value of $1,000 or more. Each charge carries a potential penalty of 10 years in prison or $10,000 or both.
After the entering of a not-guilty plea, the law states a trial must be scheduled within 180 days.
Anyone charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
