Platte County Commissioners passed resolution 2024-11 during their regular meeting held on June 4. The resolution declares a temporary partial closure of all private lands within unincorporated areas of Platte County to the use of open fire and incendiary devices, effective June 14 at noon. The resolution was passed for an indefinite period.
Violators can be fined $100, sentenced to 30 days in the Platte County Jail, or both.
