During the Kids Fair held the end of March, Judy Glass (left) and Connie Thomas visited with many local families about the services they provide to the community. The Food bank is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to Noon at 11th and Walnut Streets (Wheatland United Church of Christ). There are limits, but individuals or families can have food to fill their pantries to help them through a hard season. Donations of non-perishable goods in good condition and not out-of-date are welcome. For more information, stop by and visit at the Food Bank, or call 331-3527 or 331-3269.
“The People in Platte County are great!” Glass said, adding the donations from the community and help with volunteers in putting together baskets for the big holidays have been “wonderful.”
