WHEATLAND – Members of the community were invited to a listening session at Wheatland High School last Wednesday to share their opinions on what Eastern Wyoming Community College is doing well, and wheat can be improved with their outreach and collaborative programs. The EWC president, Dr. Jeffry Hawes, led the discussion.
Dr. Hawes said the feedback he receives in the listening sessions with EWC’s stakeholders will be used to make decisions for strategic planning encompassing 2026 through 2030.
The listening tour stop in Wheatland followed a session earlier in the month in Guernsey, and both were one of several stops around the counties covered by EWC. All comments will be considered in conjunction with internal and external surveys and suggestions.
Currently, EWC has concurrent and dual enrollment courses in both Guernsey and Wheatland schools, as well as community outreach programs. More information on the listening tour, or to find out how you can contribute with feedback, contact EWC’s Wheatland representative, Tamera Stenson at 322-2433, or Guernsey outreach’s representative, Karen Posten, at 307-532-8349.
