WHEATLAND – The month of September for the Activities center was hopping – and the calendar has been bursting with all kinds of different Activities. Ranging from cornhole games, to a Wellness Breakfast with Myiah Bornhoft pharmacist with Banner Health, to a cute wooden ghost craft.
The ghosts were cut out of wood pieces from one of the seniors who has her own scroll saw and enjoys cutting out wooden crafts ideas to be painted. The seniors also made a pumpkin craft out of canning lids with a magnet to hang on the fridge to make the fridge more fall festive.
September saw the largest group of Bingo players, they even had a double-blackout winner: Ms. Billie Eggleston was a “Lucky, lucky duck” winner.
The seniors at the activities center were able to watch the 2024 Homecoming Parade and were excited to have the high school kids throw candy to them as they shared Bulldog school spirit. The parade prompted memories which were shared from when they had their own Homecoming celebrations in high-school “way back when.”
