PUBLIC NOTICE
UNAPPROVED RECORD OF THE MARCH 5, 2019 PROCEEDINGS OF THE PLATTE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, WHEATLAND, WY – The regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with the following present: Sandy Kontour, Chairman; Steve Shockley, Commissioner; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; Melanie Kaushagen, Deputy Clerk; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the agenda. The motion carried. The minutes from the last regular meeting and a special meeting held on February 26, 2019 were approved as presented. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the vouchers as presented. The motion carried. Tax Cancellation: Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the tax cancellations for tax year 2016 for Lara L. Pavick and Christopher J. May in the sum of $277.14; for the tax cancellations for tax year 2017 for Lara L. Pavick and Christopher J. May in the sum of $277.14; for the tax cancellations for tax year 2018 for Lara L. Pavick and Christopher J. May in the sum of $247.85. Road & Bridge: Superintendent Angle spoke current Road and Bridge projects and about bids for materials and future expenses. Planning & Zoning: Planner Kalev presented one building certificate for approval from Del Tinsley. Planner Kalev also spoke to the Commissioners about the proposed Rabbit Bush Creek subdivision, which the Commissioners believes qualifes for a subdivision exemption. Members of the public, including Rebecca Simpson, Ted Stanfield, Dennis Miller, and Derrick Farmer spoke against the proposed subdivision of land. Public Health: Nicole Sticka, Nurse Manager, spoke to the Commissioners in reference to the prevention grant through the State of Wyoming. Design Interviews: The Commissioners interviewed two design companies – Malone, Belton, Able and Arete – who submitted design proposals for the Courthouse renovation project. Sick Leave Donation: Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the donation of 80 hours of sick time from two employees to one employee. Executive Session: Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to call an Executive Session at 2:40 PM to talk about personnel issues, pursuant to W.S. §16-4-405(a). The motion carried. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to resume the regular meeting at 2:51 PM with no decisions being made. The motion carried.
