WHEATLAND – A memorial service for Pink F. Long Jr, 79, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021 at the Veteran Memorial Site at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland with Mike Montoya officiating.
Pink Long passed away on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021 at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper.
He was born on Sunday, Oct. 19, 1941, the son of Pink Franklin and Emma Grace (Hirsen) Long Sr. He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1960. Pink and Neil Anderson were partners for twenty years owning Anderson Trucking, hauling hay. He bartended at the Landmark Bar for the Artery brothers. He also followed in his father’s footsteps working cattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and long-time friend, Margery Litster.
He is survived by his many friends.
