GILLETTE – The Lady Bulldogs defeated two more schools for their season total in the Gillette Tournament last weekend. They played a total of six games and finished the weekend 2-4.

Kelly Walsh – 15-25, 11-25 Loss
Cheyenne South – 25-12, 25-19 Win
Big Horn – 30-28, 21-25, 10-15 Loss
Cheyenne Central – 21-25, 22-25 Loss
“The girls played hard both days,” said WHS volleyball coach Lindsay Schaffner. “I saw improvement as the tournament went on. We will continue to work on communication and defense. Laynie Goertz (sophomore) came in and served well for us this weekend. She did a nice job of serving aggressively.”

Kills: Hadley Paisley 23 kills for the weekend
Digs: Alley Gunter 31 digs for the weekend and Brinley Heimsoth with 35 digs for the weekend
Blocks: Kaycee Hockley 10 blocks for the weekend
The girls who now have a season record of 4-8 will be in action tonight against Cheyenne South (1-4) at 6 p.m.
