Three medals for Glendo at Guernsey-Sunrise Track meet

GUERNSEY--Three of four Glendo track competitors pick up individual medals at the Guernsey-Sunrise Invitational meet Saturday at Viking Stadium.
Freshman Sarah Sanders and sophomore Preston Meier were double medalists for the Eagles.

Guernsey-Sunrise Viking boys’ track team place fourth in meet

The Guernsey-Sunrise Viking boys' track team placed fourth in their own invitational meet held Saturday at Viking Stadium.
Viking senior distance runner Wes Sturdivant picked up a pair of first place medals with top finishes in the 1600 (4:50.65) and 3200 (10:49.06) meter runs.

Wheatland at Okie Blanchard Invitational

Last weekend, the Wheatland track team placed eighth in two events: Girls 4x100 Meter Relay Varsity and Girls 4x400 Meter Relay Varsity.

Girls who placed:

Kyleen Smith placed fifth with 4-09.00 as her score in girls varsity high jump, she also competed in varsity long jump and obtained a score of 13-11.00.


Wheatland Rodeo team has great season start

At this weekend's Laramie High School Rodeo competition, the Wheatland team strutted to a couple first place wins.
On Saturday, Chloe Ashenburst took first place in pole-bending with a time of 20.584. Teign Finnerty took sixth place in calf-roping with a time of 12.53. In team roping, TC Hadely and Canton Afdahl took eighth place with a time

West Elementary tennis champions

For the fifth year in a row, Coach Sherrill hosted an all-school Quick-Start Tennis tournament. Students competed in their homeroom P.E. classes, in which were the qualifying regions for the "sweet sixteen". West Elementary is a member of the USTA, so all matches were played using official Quick-Start Tennis rules. All West students participated in Tennis

Wheatland invitational pre-qualifies six for state track meet.

Wheatland track team qualified six players for state at last week's invitational.
Qualifying players include: Kyle Pollack in high jump and long jump, Cole Weatherill, high jump, Kyleen Smith, High Jump, Samantha, High Jump, girls 4 by 100 relay team.

Other Platte County runners were the Guernesy-Sunrise Vikings.
