Robert Howard Moon, 81, of Grandview passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5. Robert was born on April 22, 1933 in Childress, Texas to David and Willie Moon.
Robert retired from 20 years in the Air Force. He pastored churches in Montana, Wyoming, Missouri, and Arkansas for over 40 years. He was also a volunteer Chaplin for 10 years for Fremont County Sheriff’s Department in Wyoming. Robert served with pride for many years in the Southern Baptist Convention in Wyoming and served as President for one term.
Robert is survived by his wife and best friend, Joyce Moon of Grandview; son, Timothy Moon of Casper; daughter, Lynn Wilson of Wheatland; grandchildren, Kolby Wilson, Kurtis Wilson, Haylie Moon, and Hayden Moon; and great-grandson, Tanner Wilson.
Robert was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Services were held 10 a.m. Friday, August 8 at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Grandview. Interment and a full military honors followed the service at Grandview Cemetery.
