Michele played at Black Hills State for three years until a bad foot injury ended her playing. She then transferred to Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore. She received her B.A. degree in Sociology. She had different jobs and loved the whole state; especially the mountain climbing.
Another talent was her violin playing. She played from age 7 until graduating. Many organizations had her play and she also played in the All-State Orchestra for three years.
