WHEATLAND – Plans for a new Wheatland splash park took another step forward recently.
The State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) recently approved about $185 million in Business Ready Community grants and loans, including a $120,000 Community Enhancement Grant for the Wild West Splash Park. The SLIB approved this and funds for 18 other projects across the state during its June meeting.
The SLIB grant would pay for roughly half of the total expenditures for the park with the town of Wheatland committing to the other half.
