Janice Williams Jared, 68 of Fort Meade, Fla., entered into eternal rest and reward, peacefully on May 11, 2013 from breast cancer. Her husband of 39 years, Norman Jared, and her parents Venious D. and Vida Williams preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Julie Jared of Port Orange, Fla., grandson Ethan Jared of Sanford Fla., son Graham Jared (Megan), grandson Tavis Jared all of Davenport, Iowa, sister Yvonne Williams Davis (E.J.) of Sanford.
Born in Bartow, Fla., Mrs. Jared graduated from Fort Meade High School in 1961 and Winter Haven Business College in 1962. She was employed by State Farm Regional Offices and Agents, office manager for Lock Trucking in Wheatland and Parks & Recreation for Ketchikan, Alaska before returning to Fort Meade where she was employed by the Fort Meade Leader for five years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Services were held on May 14 at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Jared may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 605 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
