CHEYENNE – There has been a slight drop in the statewide graduation rate during the last academic year. Most of Platte County’s schools, however, still find themselves above the average.
According to a recent study from the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE), Wyoming’s graduation rate dropped slightly from the 2010-11 academic year to the 2011-12 academic year, from 79.74 to 78.89 percent. The graduation rate in 2009-10 was 80.42.
Statewide, the WDE states, 34 of 48 school districts maintained a graduation rate of 80 percent or higher.
