A graveside service for Donna Faye Seymour, 72, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland with Reverend Lincoln Winter of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
Donna Seymour died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital from a short battle with cancer.
Donna was born April 26, 2013 in Bison, S.D., the daughter of Ira Alonzo and Ethel Agnes (Hadcock) Whitford.
Donna was reared and educated around the Sturgis, S.D. She married Melvin Seymour on Dec. 21, 1958. Before coming to Wheatland they moved around with Melvin’s job and the last 20 years she has been in Wheatland. She loved cooking, gardening, joking around with family and laughing. Her eight granddaughters loved Grandma’s canned pickles. Donna always loved to bring out the good in every situation.
Donna is survived by her children, Rodney E. Seymour, Devonna R. Morgan and Raymond L. Seymour; three sisters; one brother; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin L. Seymour on Oct. 9, 1995; three brothers; and two sisters.
A memorial to the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation, 1333 South Mayflower Avenue, Suite 400, Monrovia, CA 91016 would be appreciated by the family.
