Commissioners Comments

Posted: Wednesday, Apr 24th, 2013

WHEATLAND The Wyoming County Commissioner's Association is the state organization that all of the commissioners around the state use to communicate the needs of the counties to the state. The Platte County Commissioners attended the latest conference this last week.

At a glance, here are some issues addressed at this conference:

Fairness of sales tax of pipe laid in each county

Fairness of the time frame of delinquent taxes paid by companies

Disaster drought declared by Governor in all but three counties

WyoLink (our emergency communication system) and its problems

Legislative session update

Sage grouse update

Affordable Health Care Act

Please call if you have any questions about the topics mentioned. I will be happy to go into more detail.
