A funeral service for EdnaMae “Eddie” Kissel, 71, was held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Wheatland with Pastor Andy Gudahl officiating. Interment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
EdnaMae Kissel died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb.
She was born January 3, 1942 in North Platte, Neb., the daughter of Voras E. and Delma E. (Moser) Smith.
EdnaMae was raised and educated in Morrill, Neb. and graduated from Morrill High School in 1960. She married Donald L. Kerns at the Morrill Methodist Church in 1963, they later divorced. She moved to Wheatland and worked at the Wyoming Motel, was a waitress at Vimbo’s and Breakfast Inn, worked at Pamida, West Winds Motel and retired from West Winds Motel. She married Malvern Kissel on May 22, 1981 in Wheatland. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading books, crocheting, visiting friends and family. EdnaMae was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge, filling all offices locally, Deputy Grand Reagent for Wyoming, Western Nebraska Moose Association and American Legion Auxiliary in Morrill.
She is survived by her husband, Malvern of Wheatland; children, Devin K. Addison of Wheatland, Vinca Sue (Basil) Williams of Max, Colo., Valerie Jane (Anthony) Guerra of Leads, Utah, Shree Rae (Daniel) Castaneda of Scottsbluff, Robin Denise Isenhart, Sara Jane Kissel and Joseph Benjamin Kissel all of Anchorage, Ala.; sister, Wilma Kay Smith of Augusta, Kan.; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Levi Isabell, Robert Kissel, Felicia Knowlton, Raymond Gentry, Sheena Williams and Christina Williams.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Trevia Gentry, Jerren Addison, Krysta Thomas, Don Knowlton, Veronica Castaneda, Keria McCafferty, Maggie Anderson and Staysha Adams.
A memorial to the Moose Charities, Mooseheart and Moosehaven, 155 South International Drive, Mooseheart, IL 60539 would be appreciated by the family.
