A funeral service for Kathryn Gayle “Kathy” Fisher, 55, was held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Wheatland United Methodist Church with Pastor Skip Perry officiating. Inurnment was at the Wheatland Cemetery.
Kathy Fisher died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming of natural causes.
Kathy was born Aug. 31, 1957 the daughter of Melvin Dean and Loretta (Blodgett) Whinery.
Kathy was raised and educated in Wheatland and graduated from Wheatland High School.
Kathy belonged to the Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) and was state president raising money for Saint Jude’s. Some of her hobbies included sewing quilts, four-wheeling, horseback riding and hunting with her dad, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Randy Fisher of Wheatland; children, Dolly (Darin) Birkle of Torrington and Brandon (Jennifer) Munn of Wheatland; parents, Melvin Dean and Loretta Whinery of Wheatland; brothers, Darrel (Lori) Whinery and Stacy (Angela) Whinery; grandma, Violet Blodgett; and granddaughters, Kaitlynn Birkle and Brennin Rose Munn.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Munn on June 29, 1995; infant daughter, Skeeter Gayle Munn on Jan. 12, 1977; grandfather, Glen Whinery on March 9, 1979; grandmother, Elizabeth Whinery on Oct. 26, 1994; grandfather, Vernon Blodgett on Jan. 1, 1994; uncle, John Blodgett; and aunt, LaVern McGuire, Jan. 19, 2013.
Serving as an urnbearer will be Tiffany Whinery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Matt Pierson, Ross Burns, Roger Cheser, Jason Wichert, Kevin Teten and Bill Hitt.
A memorial to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated by the family.
