WHEATLAND – Platte County School District officials are taking another look at disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution following last week’s monthly board meeting.
Curtis Cook, parents with two children in the school system, among other parents brought up concerns regarding consistency in discipline in the schools. Curtis specifically suggested a set of guidelines for administrators in ways to handle disciplinary issues within the school, parent-administrator meetings and a meeting between West Elementary parents and superintendent Dennis Fischer.
Fischer said students who feel they face bullying and other issues can talk to teachers or counselors.
