Liz Cheney addresses a full house during The Platte County Republicans’ Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday at the Platte County 4-H Building Saturday evening.
The event included a silent auction featuring donations from U.S. Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso and U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis, music from Skylar Whelchel and appearances of several state officials.
Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney and Fox News political analyst, spoke on the national sequester and defense funding, fossil fuels and the future of the Republican party. She encouraged the dinner’s attendance to hold their ground on the GOP’s principals.
