WHEATLAND – It’s been said there’s a ghost living at 875 Gilchrist St.
“George” haunts what used to be the Wheatland Book Nook, but he has recently noticed some changes. Bookshelves have been traded for animals of all kinds. The legendary snipe adorns the wall to the right of the entrance. On the rustic wood decorating the walls leading to a medium-blue-painted railing and accompanying staircase stands a menagerie of trophy game: elk, deer, ducks and fish. A collection of skulls sits in a glass case, protected from the elements.
