We call ourselves a Christian community here. And if that is true, then we must believe in the power of God to perform miracles on our behalf when we pray. So how many of us have taken up the challenge to pray for moisture to end this drought? County Commissioner Sandy Kontour has asked us to pray daily then to fast and pray on Sunday, March 3. Then we are all invited to meet at the 4-H Building at the Fairgrounds for a carry-in (potluck) dinner at 5 p.m.
If we don't get involved and be a part of this petition to our Creator for His provision, then we must accept what happens without complaining. (Sort of like “If you don't vote, don't complain about the governing you get.”) If we are not part of the solution, then we are part of the problem. If God can move mountains, how hard is it for Him to bring moisture? When Christians unite and cry out in one voice, what can happen? And how will we know if we don't get involved and ask? Accept the challenge, my friends and neighbors. We need a miracle! Our lives depend on it!
We believe in miracles. Do you?
