To The People of Platte County:
We are once again appealing to the generous nature of the people of Platte County. The Platte County Ministry Co-op finds itself woefully short of funds in the New Year. The organization was founded in 1998 to help victims of catastrophic events and unexpected financial emergencies. We are a nonprofit organization that tries to meet the needs of Platte County residents. We help with rent, utilities and other emergencies. All the funds we receive remain in Platte County and none of us take a salary, so 100 percent of any donation will go to people in need. Historically, we need in excess of $1,000 a month to cover the requests we receive. At this time, our current funds will only last for a short time and, at our recent meeting, we were forced to lower our level of support to our clients. Our yearly fundraiser is not scheduled until the first week of May, so we are asking for your help to cover the shortfall. You have been very generous in the past, and I know we can count on you again.
