Harriet Ellen “Hap”, wife of Robert Hill, passed at Valley Health Care Center in Billings, Mont. from extended illness, on April 25, 2013 at the age of 73.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 4 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Wheatland, with a reception to follow at the Moose Lodge No. 1636.
Hap was born in Wheatland, Aug. 25, 1939 where she lived her entire childhood. Hap was the third child and daughter of Harris and Gladys Davis. She later lived in Nebraska, Colorado and Arizona with her final home being in Billings, where she resided with her husband Robert Hill for the last 27 years. She made a living doing many things in Billings over the years, including taking care of the elderly in their homes. Along with working, Hap also opened her home to several needy people over the years.
Harriet loved her children and was eager to visit her siblings and friends every year at the Davis family reunion in Wheatland.
Survivors include, her widower Robert Hill, her children: Steven Lindauer of Gillette, Cathy Thomas (Dwight) of Lochbuie, Colo., Les Lindauer (Christine) of Billings, Damon West (Candy) of Fort Collins Colo., Vaughn West (Crystal) of Billings, and Stephanie West (Chris) of Fort Collins Colo., Brothers: Gary Davis (Jennifer), Donald Davis, Jerry Davis (Donna), Eugene Davis (Carol), Sidney Davis, John Davis (Chucky), Randy Davis (Myrna), Sisters: Karen Caress (Butch), Kim Nesius (Tony), Kerri Hitt, Paula Wilson (Jimmy), Kathleen Terry (Lonnie). 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive her.
Hap was preceded in death by her father Harris F. Davis, mother: Gladys Ellen, Davis Preuit and husband: Gerald E. Lindauer, husband: Clyde G. West, Jr., sisters: Lyla J. Shaw, Deanna D. Davis, Karla S. Davis and brothers: Michael H. Davis, Topper Hollenbeck, grandson: Eugene E. Lindauer.
