A graveside service and inurnment for Lucy Pamela Vannelli, 88, was conducted at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 19, 2010, in the Prairie Rest Cemetery at Guernsey, Wyoming, with Reverend Bill Walker officiating.
She died July 12, 2010, at the Laramie Care Center in Laramie, Wyoming.
Lucy was born January 22, 1922, in Manchester, United Kingdom, the daughter of Herbert and Maude (Brierley) Cooper. She was reared and educated in Manchester and met her future husband while he was serving with the Army Air Corps in England during World War II. She and Louie Palmer “Lupe” Vannelli were married December 18, 1946, in Gering, Nebraska, and they made their home in Guernsey. Lucy was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Vannelli and Bob Case of Guernsey and four grandchildren, Mia Hatten, Melissa Santistevan, and Zack Usry all of Casper and Ashley Vannelli of Laramie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on October 12, 1995; and a son, Brian Vannelli on September 28, 1977.
Honorary pallbearers were all of her friends.
