Posted: Wednesday, Mar 3rd, 2010

Vincent A. DiGregorio died Thursday, February 25, 2010 of a masssive heart attack. He was 51 years old.

Vince was born September 16, 1958 in Newark, NJ to Vincent and Anntoinette DiGregorio. He graduated high school in New Jersey and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he lived briefly before entering the United States Coast Guard. He loved serving his country and he loved the Coast Guard. After being honorably discharged he moved back to Fort Collins, Colorado.

He was employed by Allen Plumbing and Heating for many years and it was there he earned his Master's Plumbing license. Vince would generously credit Marian Allen for giving him a start and helping launch his career in plumbing and the construction field.

From 1997 to 2006 Vince had his own company, New Concepts Plumbing by Design. His work offered him the opportunity to meet people in the field of plumbing and construction and he made many lasting friendships. Vince was currently working for CK Mechanical where he successfully developed a very lucrative commercial division for them.

Vince met his wife, Sakie, in 1984. They lived in Fort Collins, Colorado and moved to Essex Fells, NJ in 1986. There Vince and his father, Vincent worked side-by-side remodeling baths, kitchens and commercial businesses.

Vince then returned to Colorado in 1989 where he and his wife lived in Livermore for 18 years. He loved those years living in the mountains. Vince loved the endless beauty of Colorado. During that time Vince was Assistant Fire Chief of the Livermore Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a certified paramedic.

In 2006 Vince and his family moved to Wheatland, Wyoming. Vince's love for the history and beauty of Colorado and Wyoming forged a much loved pastime of hiking and looking for American Indian arrowheads and other artifacts. Not only did he enjoy the actual hunt but he loved reading about American Indian culture and the history of these two states.

Vince also had a genuine love for music and that music fueled his love of life. He also enjoyed drag racing, fishing, camping, water and snow skiing, and he respected and loved all creatures great and small.

Those who knew Vince will remember him for his very strong dedicated work ethic, his wonderful sense of humor, his full and joyful laugh, his love of life and his family. Vince was a dedicated and loving son, brother, father, husband and friend.

Vince leaves behind his wife, Cecelia (Sakie) M Ham-DiGregorio, his son Jesse Vincent (Tracey) DiGregorio and his grandson Aaron DiGregorio. In 1999 Vince and Sakie adopted her maternal nephew, Jordan R. Ham. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Justina Coady and family, and three brothers-in-law, Timothy Hamand family, Charles Ham and family and Robert Ham Jr. and his family.

Vince is survived by his father, Vincent DiGregorio, two sisters, Michele and Dolores from New Jersey, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind so many dear friends whose lives he touched and he will be lovingly remembered by all.

A memorial service and luncheon is planned for Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 12 Noon at the Wheatland Bible Church, in Wheatland, Wyo. Should you wish, you can mail your condolences to The DiGregorio Family, P O Box 596, Wheatland, WY 82201.
