WHEATLAND Kellan Anderson, 2008 graduate of WHS, has shown what hard work and dedication can accomplish. On June 1, he made a great showing and performance at the 2013 MaxMuscle Mie High Natural Body Building Competition in Denver.

Kellan placed first in his novice middleweight class, first in the overall novice class and third in the light heavyweight open class.

Kellan graduated in May from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D. with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He is now working in the regional sports medicine department of Spearfish Regional Hospital as a performance accelerations coordinator. Kellan loves his new job so far and is still earning a lot, but eager to start working with and helping people with their issues.

Kellan is the son of Mike and Jenna Anderson of Wheatland and brother of Kory, Ward and Poston Anderson.

Kellan gives a huge amount of credit to his strength coach, Darrel Dryden, who has helped him through the whole competition from beginning to end.
