Lady Vikes look to next year

The Guersney-Sunrise Lady Vikings rally before an away game earlier this season. All players will be returning next year looking to improve on this year’s single-victory season.

GUERNSEY – The basketball season wasn’t kind to the Guernsey-Sunrise Lady Vikings this year.

The Lady Vikes had a single victory this year, which also accounted for their highest-scoring game. The season opener against Normative Services’ JV squad gave the girls a great start with a 51-19 win.

The ladies came away with 347 points on the season, averaging about 16 points per game. The Hulett Lady Red Devils scored the most points agains the Lauy Vikes at 69 during a Groundhog Day matchup.

Their final game was during regionals against the Midwest Lady Oilers, falling 44-12 in the consolation round.

The Lady Vikes will not see any seniors leave this year.
