WHEATLAND – The Lady Bulldogs of Wheatland (7-13 overall, 5-9 conference) lost to the Rawlins Lady Outlaws (19-3 overall, 12-2 conference) during the final home game of the regular season last Friday, 60-34.
“We played three good quarters of basketball,” said Coach Bard Phifer. “But we did not have a good fourth quarter.”
The Lady Bulldogs will head to Worland this week for 3A regionals. They sit at No. 6 and will take on the Torrington Lady Trailblazers (13-9 overall, 8-6 conference) on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. The loser of the matchup will face the loser of the Worland/Rawlins matchup in a consolation round at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. The winner will move on to the semi-finals, facing the winner between Rawlins and Worland, at 3 p.m. on Friday, competing for a spot in the state tournament.
