CLEARMONT – The Glendo Eagles boys’ basketball team was unable to come up with a win last week at the Little Six Tournament.
In their first game against Arvada Clearmont, the Eagles fell 65-25. Leading scorer for the Eagles was Peyton Stoneking with 10 points, followed by Evan Wilhelm with nine points.
Coach Jim Blatnick said a lack of experience and size was a big factor in the loss.
In their second game of the tournament, the Eagles fell to Midwest, 47-27. Wilhelm led in scoring for the Eagles with 18 points, followed by Preston Meier with nine.
Coach Blatnick said Wilhelm remained consistent with his playing and added that he was particularly pleased with Meier’s performance.
“He’s just a freshman. He did a nice job,” he said.
In their third game, the Eagles fell to Meeteetse, 72-33. Wilhelm led in scoring with 11, followed by Stoneking with nine.
The Eagles hosted South High School on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Results will be in the next Record-Times.
