Bulldog wrestlers fall to South in dual, 51-20

WHEATLAND – The Wheatland Bulldog wrestlers fell to South last Thursday, Dec. 6, 51-20.

Individual results are as follows:

106 pounds: Preston Gunter, Wheatland, forfeit; 113: Double forefit; 120: Lebeck, South, def. Garrett Ayers, technical fall; 126: Mills, South, pinned Chavo Little, 1:27; 132: Evinger, South, pinned Darnly, :36; 138: Dike, Wheatland, def. Snow, 3-1 in OT; 145: Hammond, South, def. Lance Lucas, 3-0; 152: Dylan Applegate, Wheatland, pinned Ernst, 5:02; 160: Noble, South, pinned Teigen Finnerty, 2:36; 170: A. Dunn, South, pinned Peasley, 1:06; 182: C. Dunn, South, pinned Grimes, 3:20; 195: Boyd, Wheatland, pinned McHenry, 2:33; 220: Swainson, South, pinned Peasley, 1:15; 285: Colley, South, pinned Bush, 1:48.

On Saturday, Dec. 8, the Bulldogs competed in the Charlie Lake Invite.

The sole placer for the Bulldogs at the Invite was Jhett Eike. Eike took third in the 138 lbs class. He defeated Bridger Rardin of Laramie in the 3rd place match in a 5-3 decision.
