WHEATLAND - Their loss against Glenrock may have stung but the Bulldogs have their momentum up again after dominating the field last Friday against the Moorcroft Wolves, 43-14.
WHS Head Coach Scott Schultz said the Bulldogs played strong football and remained consistent in the game.
“We did a really good job of executing in certain situations,” he said. “We really sustained our offense.”
The Bulldogs - now 2-1 in conference and 3-1 overall - will have to fight to clinch a play-off berth this year.
With four games under their belt, Schultz said the Bulldogs are focused on playing consistent as a team.
“We have to really push into these games,” he said. “We’re going to have to get some attitude and go after some teams.”
The Bulldogs will play Big Horn at 1 pm on Friday, Sept. 28 in a road game. Big Horn is 4-0 overall, leading the 2A East Conference.
In JV action, the Bulldogs’ Sept. 20 game against Torrington was a heartbreaker. The Bulldogs fell to the Trailblazers, 27-22. Though it was a loss, Schultz said the Bulldogs played “really well” throughout the game.
The JV Bulldogs will play Burns in a road game at 4:30 pm on Monday, Oct. 1.
