The Glendo Eagles had a fast-paced week and weekend, hosting two games Friday and Saturday at the Eagles’ nest to top the week’s action off.

Last Tuesday after press time, the boys headed to Rock River to take on the Longhorns.

The first quarter ended 14-10 Eagles. During the second quarter, Glendo continued to take in the points, outscoring the Longhorns 25-19 and bringing the halftime score to 39-29 Glendo.

In the third quarter, Glendo fell, being outscored by Rock River 20-10, and closing the score to 49-49.

Although the fourth quarter was close for both teams, Rock River edged Glendo out with free throw hits, bringing the final score to 71-67 Longhorns.

On Thursday, Glendo hosted the Hanna Elk Mountain Miners.

The first quarter ended 12-10 Glendo. The Eagles and Miners tied 10 up in the second quarter, bringing the score to 22-20. During the third quarter, Glendo fell, being outscored by Hanna 20-6 and bringing the score to 40-28 Miners.

With one quarter left, Glendo continued to trail, and was outscored by the Miners 32-23 in the final quarter, which ended the game 72-51.

On Saturday, Glendo hosted the Arvada-Clearmont Panthers.

Glendo again led in the first half, outscoring the Panthers 15-12 in the first quarter and holding a narrow 30-26 lead by halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles were outscored 20-17, bringing the score to 56-47. Going into the final quarter, the Eagles were again outscored, and the game ended 65-59.

The next game for the Eagles was on Tuesday after press time in Lusk against the Tigers’ JV team. Their next Conference game is Friday in Chugwater, when they face the Buffaloes.
