Local volunteer honored

GUERNSEY-Legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden has often been quoted as saying, "The true test of a man's character is what he does when no one is watching." But the same could also be said of "what he does when he thinks no one is watching." The character of local volunteer Don Mack could easily fall into either of those categories.

Over the past seven years, Mack has taken walks that have lead him to a variety of places, including around the school, around the National Guard Camp, to the recycling center and along the river nearly every day. But Mack's commitments aren't only to exercise.
