WHEATLAND – Each year, the Platte County Horseman’s Association (PCHA) holds a Royalty contest. The selection committee looks for more than just horsemanship skills. They look for a young person to represent the PCHA who is the total package: an excellent horseman, a great communicator and fun. The 2013 committee had their work cut out for them when they had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with six highly qualified kids.
This year, like every year in the past, the committee got an exceptionally special young person as their Royalty.
