The drama and music departments of Wheatland High School will present L Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz" at the Wheatland High School auditorium this Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. There will be a Sunday matinee at 2 pm.

Everyone knows the story of Dorothy, (Sara Teter) Scarecrow, (Slater Ashenhurst) Tin Man, (Mathan Stafford) the cowardly Lion, (Quinn Scicluna) and Toto, (Elvis Teel) too. They follow the yellow brick road to visit the great and powerful wizard (Dalton Rietz) aided by Glinda the good witch (Aubrie Schindler). They must face the wicked witch of the West (Sami Kaufman) in their quest.

From the lovable uncle Henry (Elijah Leinen) to the munchkins (Isaac Leinen, Cassy Still, Rachel Culver, Ophelia Scott, Mathew Troy, Reagan Lawrence, Zach Condie, Nichol Ayers, Makayla Condie, Lauren Stidham and Kirby Lawrence) all your friends are there. Remember your favorite songs, the unforgettable "Over the Rainbow", "If I only had a Brain", and "Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead"? See and hear everything, live on the WHS auditorium stage.

Rounding out the cast we have Diana Singleton, Spencer Lawrence, Sierra Locy, Ashley Dike, Sarah Kalaher, Sarah Rosendahl, Eric DuVal, Christian Dike, Abbey Geringer, Baily McFadden, Sierra Amudson, Madison Stidham, Kyleen Smith, Joseph Singleton, and Emily Teter.

Tickets will be sold at the door, beginning 45 minutes before curtain time.

"We have no reserved seating, so arrive early for the best selection," Merlin Hitt said.

This performance will be presented under the direction of Hitt and Adri Pehrson.
