WHEATLAND, Since 2012, Wheatland resident Julie Mills has combined her love of sewing with humanitarian efforts. Through the Little Dresses for Africa organization, as well as Britches for Boys, Mills has sewn over 200 dresses and shorts for children in Africa, the Philippines, and other countries.

Meet Henry: The newest staff member at the PC Nursing Home

WHEATLAND - Platte County Memorial Nursing Home has a resident that keeps chasing squirrels and stealing slippers, but everyone loves him.
Henry is a Corgi/Beagle mixed dog that moved into the nursing home last May. Director of Nursing Chris Kennedy brought up the idea of getting a therapy dog to help cheer and calm the residents.
